College Football Rankings: Oregon Still On Top, Buckeyes Up To #8 In AP Poll

The Oregon Ducks survived an upset bid By Cal yesterday and did just enough to maintain it's hold on the top spot in this week's AP Poll.  Auburn was once again #2 while Boise State moved back in front of TCU to regain the #3 spot.  That puts Boise State in a solid spot to gain the BCS auto-bid come the end of the season if both teams remain undefeated.

Meanwhile, the Ohio State Buckeyes moved up one spot to #8 in the AP poll following their 38-14 win over Penn State on Saturday.  The Buckeyes were trailing 14-3 at halftime before exploding for 335 points over the final 20 minutes to beat the Nittany Lions.

Overall, the Big Ten has 4 teams in the Top-25, with Wisconsin leading the way at #6.  Michigan State is at #11 and Iowa dropped to #21 following their loss to Northwestern.

With the Big Ten's automatic BCS bid going to the team with the best BCS ranking, it seems as if Ohio State will need some help in order to bypass Wisconsin.
