The Cincinnati Bengals were 2-1 when the travelled to Cleveland for an early-season showdown with their intra-state rivals. The Browns, looking for their first win, dominated the early going, taking a 23-10 lead late in the 3rd quarter. The Bengals rallied to 23-20, but fell short. It was a tough loss, but no one knew at that time the Bengals would go on to lose their next nine games as well. That's right, the Bengals, at 2-11, have lost 10 straight games starting with their loss in Cleveland.
The Browns have gone 5-5, including that win, and look to continue their strong play of late. Of course, a lackluster 13-6 loss in Buffalo last week is hopefully just a hiccup. The Browns have only beaten Cincinnati once in the past six seasons, including a 16-7 loss last season.
Overall, the Bengals have beaten the Browns 9 times in their past 12 meetings.
