Cavaliers Battle Back Late, Then Dominate OT For First Win In December

Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) – Mo Williams extended the game with a running jump shot with 3.7 seconds left in regulation, then scored six in overtime to help the Cleveland Cavaliers snap their lengthy losing streak with a 109-102 victory over the New York Knicks.

Williams scored 23 points with 14 assists for the Cavaliers, who snapped a 10- game slide, the team’s worst since LeBron James was a season away from his NBA debut with the franchise. Antawn Jamison added 21 points, while Anthony Parker supplied 17 points in the victory.

Anderson Varejao provided a presence down low, scoring 14 points and grabbing 17 rebounds for Cleveland, which has won nine straight over New York.

Amare Stoudemire and Raymond Felton both scored 23 for the Knicks, who have lost three straight since an eight-game win streak. Stoudemire added 11 rebounds to his ledger, while Felton dished out 11 assists in the loss.
