NBA Power Rankings: Cavaliers Not The Worst In The East...Yet

The latest round of web rankings are starting to roll out  and the Cavaliers, as you would expect when a team has lost 12 of 13 games, is near the bottom of the barrel in terms of the Eastern Conference.  Only Antawn Jamison's former team - the Washington Wizards - are worse off than the Cavaliers, at least in the eyes of Mike Payne over at SBNation.com.

Of course, with John Wall in the fold, and coming off a blockbuster trade with the Orlando Magic to finally rid themselves of Gilbert Arenas, the Wiz might actually be trending up.  The Cavs?  Well, not so much.  Here is what Payne had to say about the Cavaliers:

14. Cleveland Cavaliers: Record - 8-20

Last Week's Ranking: 8, SB Nation Blog: Fear the Sword

Cleveland started this last week looking like they were going to steal a win from LeBron in Miami. That loss led to more of the same for the Cavaliers, save for a 109-102 win over New York on Saturday. This team desperately needs to make moves before the deadline, lest fans will resort to writing letters of discontent in bold-faced comic sans.

Ahhhh yes, the ole' comic sans reference.  The Cavaliers will probably be at or near the bottom of several other Power Rankings as well.  We'll let you know.
