After a decent start to the season, Indians pitcher David Huff has not been very effective. He led the team in wins last season, but with nine losses already before the All-Star break, he’s on track to lead the team in losses this season.
↵The answer has to be to send Huff down to Columbus and let him regain his command. Manny Acta’s decision to stick with Justin Masterson a few weeks ago ended up paying off, as he has pitched better in his last four outings. However, Huff’s struggles have continued longer than Masterson’s did. The team is reportedly close to making a decision on Huff soon — that decision could (and should) involve the promotion of Aaron Laffey again.
