Brian Windhorst of the Plain Dealer asserts that the Cavaliers still have Byron Scott as their leading candidate to be the next coach, but that Scott’s status is contingent upon Phil Jackson of the Lakers.
↵Jackson, coming off of back-to-back titles in L.A., is supposed to make an announcement this weekend as to whether he will be back on the bench next season, and if not…then Scott would be more than mildly interested in the Lakers’ job – critically, Scott is a former Laker.
