Indians Draft Picks Says 'No' To Tribe, Will Head To College

RHP Ben Lively, selected by the Indians in the 26th Round of June’s MLB Draft has turned down the Indians final contract offer, choosing instead to enroll at Central Florida University in the fall.

Lively (6-foot-4, 190 pounds) was believed to be offered a package that consisted of $177,000 – including a signing bonus and college education guarantee.

While Lively admitted it was a good offer, he went on to say, ""I was just expecting to get a lot more."
