An Expectation Of Greatness, A Reality Of Underachievement

I am not generally one to put a whole lot of stock into deep statistical analysis, although I do enjoy seeing such breakdowns, but I did find this fascinating piece on Basketball-Reference.com.

It shows what we should have expected the Cavaliers to achieve in the past five playoff seasons and leads one to believe that, no matter the bruised feelings L-word left us when he departed, he didn't exactly deliver as expected anyhow.  This Monte Carlo Simulation says that Cleveland should be the owners of at least one title.

The numbers might be a little numbing to you.  Frankly, they were to me as well.  But they are interesting nevertheless.  See if you agree.
