In this offseason there have been unprecedented changes as the Eastern Conference of the NBA has, in many respects, had a major makeover. The strong have gotten weaker, some of the weaker have become stronger -- and in one case, a possible juggernaut -- and with a flood of new coaches, top draft picks, and major free agent movement, the balance of power and identity of the East has shifted.
