Another No-Hitter; Rays' Garza Shuts Down Tigers

In this year of the pitcher, Matt Garza of the Tampa Bay Rays fired the fifth no-hitter of the season - and the first no-hitter in Tampa Bay history - tonight against the Detroit Tigers, winning 5-0 in Tampa.

And of course, that total does not include the non-perfect perfect game thrown by Armando Gallaraga of the Tigers against the Indians earlier this season.

This year is starting to resemble 1968, when Bob Gibson of St. Louis posted the lowest season ERA of all time at 1.12 for the Cardinals in another season that was called "The Year of the Pitcher".
