Kerry Wood Joins Kearns In New York, Traded To Yankees For A Player To Be Named And Cash

Kerry Wood, just off of the disabled list after trouble with a blister on his pitching hand, was traded to the New York Yankees this afternoon, joining just-traded Austin Kearns in the Big Apple. The Indians will receive cash considerations from the Yankees and a player to be named.

This makes four trades by the Indians since the beginning of the week, as Wood joins Jhonny Peralta, Austin Kearns and Jake Westbrook in leaving Cleveland.
