Fausto Carmona Blasted; Tribe Comeback Falls Short, 9-7

When your best starting pitcher over the course of a month is a raw rookie (Jeanmar Gomez), you have trouble winning games, and last night that trend continued in Kansas City.

Looking little like the pitcher he looked like in the first half, when he was chosen as the lone Indians' All-Star, Fausto Carmona was battered for seven earned runs in just five innings as the Tribe, despite a 17-hit attack that included three hits each from Asdrubal Cabrera and Shin-Soo Choo and a home run from Shelley Duncan, fell again to the Royals, 9-7.

Go here for a full recap.  The Indians will try to salvage one game of the three-game set tonight with Mitch Talbot on the mound for the Tribe.
