Carlos Santana Out For Season Due To Monday's Collision

Cleveleland Indians catcher Carlos Santana will be out for the season due to the knee injury he suffered in Monday’s collision according to the Associated Press.

Cleveland Indians catcher Carlos Santana is set to have surgery on his injured left knee and will miss the rest of the season.

Santana was hurt Monday night in a home-plate collision with Boston’s Ryan Kalish.

Santana will have surgery Friday to repair his lateral collateral ligament and the Indians expect his recovery time to be four to six months, though he is expected to be ready for the 2011 season.
