Huff Needs More Work In The Minors

Watching David Huff today at Progressive Field became an exercise in deja vu, and continued a troubling trend for the Tribe left-hander. Since June 8th, and bracketed around a trip to Columbus, in his last four big league starts, counting today, Huff has allowed 19 earned runs in only 20 1/3 innings, and has not lasted six innings in any of those starts.

Huff seemed to have worked some of his issues out in the minors, but the same problems are rearing their head again, the primary issue being the opponent teeing off on him the third time through the order.

Here’s hoping Huff can maybe be sent down again and somehow his problems ironed out for good, because all that is being accomplished in the majors this year is for his confidence to be - perhaps irreparably - shaken
