Jim Thome hit the 587th home run of his career in the 12th inning last night to give the Minnesota Twins a 1-0 victory that moved the Twins six games ahead of Chicago in the AL Central, as yet another brilliant pitching performance by Carlos Carrasco and the Indians went for naught.
↵Thome connected off of Justin Germano -- passing Frank Robinson for eighth place on the all-time list -- to win a game that was delayed for almost two hours in starting by weather as the Tribe played its second marathon of the week.
