The Lumber Slumbers: Jered Weaver Puts Tribe Bats To Sleep, Angels Roll

Jered Weaver and the Angels’ bullpen held the Indians to two hits last night — one each from Michael Brantley and Shin-Soo Choo -- and Los Angeles jumped on Jeanmar Gomez early and safely tucked away a 7-0 triumph over the Indians.

Gomex lasted only three innings, but, for some good news, Justin Germano, Frank Herrmann and Jensen Lewis combined for six innings of no-hit relief, with Germano working three frames and dealing four strikeouts.

The Indians will try to take the rubber game of the series tonight with Fausto Carmona, who has been superb in his last two starts, on the hill for the Tribe.
