Not much more than 12 hours after clinching the division, Minnesota picked right up where they left off last night and — behind the pitching of Nick Blackburm and the Twins’ bullpen — defeated the slumbering Indians 5-1 this afternoon, for the Indians’ 90th loss of the season and the fourth in a row.
↵Carlos Carrasco ran up a high pitch count in the first couple of innings and it came back to haunt him when he gave up three runs in the sixth to give Minnesota the lead after Shelly Duncan plated the only Tribe run in the first.
↵The loss drops Carrasco to 1-1 on the season for the Indians, who return home tomorrow to begin the final home-stand of the season with a four-game series against Kansas City.
↵Plenty of good seats remain.
