Cleveland Browns safety Abram Elam tweeted that the team has signed cornerback Quincy Butler:
Congrats to my boy Quincy Butler new addition to Cleveland Browns secondary!
he came from the Rams we were teammates in Dallas our rookie year!
Butler was waived by the Rams as they trimmed their roster down to 53 players. Last year, Butler played in 14 games for St. Louis, starting in 7 of them. As of this moment, there is no word on who the Browns waived to make room for Butler, although you’d have to imagine it’ll be a linebacker or tight end.
Practice squads and additional signings should be announced later today.
