After Travis Hafner gave the Indians a one-run lead with a homer leading off the sixth, Marson connected later in the inning to complete a five-run outburst, and Masterson, Justin Germano and Rafael Perez made it stand up.

With the victory the Tribe crept to within a half-game of Kansas City for fourth place in the Central Division, while the Angels failed to gain ground on the slumping division-leading Texas Rangers in the West. Los Angeles remains nine-and-a-half games being the Rangers.
