The NFL Playoffs are winding down which can only mean one thing - the NFL Draft, and NFL Mock Drafts from all over the web - is revving up. Each week we'll take a look at these mock drafts so you can follow who the Browns might take with the 6th overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft.
This week, Brian Galliford over at SBNation.com made his selections, and with the Browns having a desperate need for playmakers, he has Alabama wide receiver Julio Jones as the likely candidate:
6. Cleveland Browns (5-11): Julio Jones, WR, Alabama. Pat Shurmur has been hired as the Browns' new head coach, and there are strong indications that Dick Jauron could become the team's defensive coordinator. Even if the team begins shifting gradually away from their 3-4 defense, Jones should be the pick here - he's perfect for the West Coast offense, and it's imperative that the team give Colt McCoy more weapons.
One would think that an offensive weapon would be the choice of a team with a new, offensive-minded head coach, and a big-time void in the play-making department. Is Jones the best fit, however?
