Cleveland Named Eighth Most Depressed Sports City

In the results of a study that shocked no one, Cleveland was ranked one of the ten most depressing sports cities by medical website Avvo.com.

Maybe it’s the weather or maybe it’s the fact that my college (Wake Forest) is in the midst of one of the most cataclysmically disastrous years in its history, but I can’t remember a time when I’ve been more depressed and apathetic as a sports fan.

Philadelphia came in at No. 1, and to be honest, a lot of that is its own fault. They’ve had success recently. The Eagles made the playoffs this year and the Phillies were in the freaking World Series. Maybe their expectations are just too high.
