Ohio State Unanimous #1 In AP Basketball Poll

Ohio State basketball remained the No. 1 team in the country in the Associated Press poll this week, receiving all 65 first-place votes this week.  Kansas was No. 2 while Texas came in at No. 3.  It was a scary week to be at the top of the polls as the three top teams all dealt with upset losses - or in Ohio State's case - one-point wins.

Duke was the latest top team to get beat, getting blown out by St. John's yesterday.  That came after Pittsburgh fell to Notre Dame earlier in the week.  Only Ohio State, who beat No. 12 Purdue 87-64, then survived Northwestern 58-57, came away unscathed.

Ohio State plays two Big Ten games this week, hosting Michigan on Thursday night (ESPN), then traveling to Minnesota on Super Bowl Sunday (ESPN).

Notre Dame moved into the top 10 (9) thanks to its win while Georgetown used a strong week to move from No. 21 to No. 13.  Arizona, Utah State, North Carolina and West Virginia are in the top 25 for the first time this season.  Michigan State was among those not in the top 25 this week.

Other Big Ten teams include Purdue, who actually moved up a spot to No. 11, Minnesota (No. 18) and Wisconsin (No. 19).
