After struggling mightily against the Tennessee Titans and dropping to 2-2, the Browns heavy underdogs against the 3-2 Oakland Raiders this week.
According to SB Nation partner OddsShark the Browns are being spotted seven points by bodog and topbet. BetOnline gives the Browns six and a half points. After opening as three-point underdogs, it's hard to figure out what happened with the Browns to cause such a jump in the line.
Perhaps it is the questionable status of cornerback Joe Haden, who has a sprained knee, and center Alex Mack who had an appendectomy last Monday. Maybe it's the continually contentious situation surrounding running back Peyton Hillis.
More likely, it's probably because the Raiders are averaging 27.2 points per game while the Browns are only scoring 18.5 a contest. But considering the Raiders are giving up more than 26 points a game on defense to the Browns' 23.2, it could be a good week to take the points.
It may also be a good week to take the over in points. Bodog has the over/under at 44.5 while BetOnline and topbet have it at 44.
