It has been a rough 24 hours for Alex Mack. First the Browns were dismantled by the Tennessee Titans at home, and Mack was called for an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty in the redzone during one of the better Browns drives of the day. Then he came to Berea with symptoms of appendicitis. I certainly wouldn't trade places with him right now.
↵Via Tom Withers of the AP, Cleveland’s Pro Bowl center will have surgery today.
↵Browns Head Coach Pat Shurmur addressed the media today and also announced that Joe Haden has a sprained knee. It is unknown how long either player will be out of commission.
↵Thoughts are with Mack during his surgery and hopefully he will be out of the hospital and back on the field soon. Matt Holliday of MLB's St. Louis Cardinals had an emergency appendectomy this season and missed nine days, but recovery times obviously vary with any kind of procedure like this.
