Ohio Vs. Bowling Green: Bobcats Win On Last-Second Field Goal

The Ohio Bobcats came from nine points down to beat the Bowling Green Falcons 29-28 on a last-second field on Wednesday night.

The dramatic win pushes Ohio to 8-3 and clinches a first-place finish in the MAC East.

Ohio trailed 28-19 in the fourth quarter, but quarterback Tyler Tettleton capped a strong all-around night with a touchdown run to bring the Bobcats within two points 28-26 and then helped orchestrate a game-winning, 15-play, 83-yard drive over the final 7:34 of regulation, culminating in a 23-yard field goal by Matt Weller as time expired.

Tettleton, the sophomore quarterback, passed for 194 yards and a touchdown with no interceptions and rushed for career-high a 128 yards and a touchdown to lead the Bobcats via air and ground.

Bowling Green scored exactly seven points, one touchdown, in every quarter, but their striking consistency proved not enough as they never were able to corral Tettleton and Ohio's offense.

Ohio concludes its regular season on Nov. 22 when it hosts Miami (OH) at 7:00 p.m. in a game televised live on ESPN2.
