Ohio State Buckeyes Vs. VMI Final Score: Buckeyes Trounce Keydets 107-74

The third-ranked Ohio State Buckeyes stayed unblemished in emphatic fashion on Wednesday night by defeating the visiting VMI Keydets 107-74 in what was a one-sided offensive showdown.

Ohio State shot an astounding 67.6 % from the field and cruised to a fifth straight win to start the season after a dominant second half in which they outscored VMI 50-30.

William Buford scored 16 of Ohio State's 57 first-half points, and he led the Buckeyes with 23 points in the game. Jared Sullinger continued his torrid early season pace with 17 points on 8-10 shooting along with 12 rebounds.

The Buckeyes had scored exactly 85 points in each of their previous two wins, but that had reached that lofty offensive total with 10:45 to spare against an overmatched VMI defense. VMI trailed just 57-44 at halftime, but their offense could not come close to keeping up with Ohio State's as the game progressed.

Now 5-0, the Buckeyes have won four of their first five games by 30+ points. They face the Valparaiso Crusaders on Thursday before their much-anticipated matchup against Duke on Nov. 29.
