Cleveland State 67, Rhode Island 45: Vikings Go 2-1 On Northeast Road Trip

Cleveland State's third game in three days saw the Vikings return to their winning ways Sunday with a 67-45 win over the Rhode Island Rams. The Vikings lost their first game of the season on Saturday 63-53 to hofstra, but they recovered to beat the Rams convincingly behind 20 points from Aaron Pogue.

Cleveland State outscored Rhode Island 40-22 in the first half to establish a big lead early. The Vikings then cruised the rest of the way, getting 15 points from D'Aundray Brown and 14 from Trevon Harmon.

Saturday's loss at Hofstra came as a result of poor shooting, especially from beyond the three-point line. Hofstra outscored the Vikings by 10 in the second half to pull away after a 44-44 tie with 11 minutes remaining. The Vikings managed only nine points down the stretch, three of which came on a final three-pointer that served to only make the score closer as time expired.
