As expected, the Ohio St. Buckeyes cruised past the Lamar Cardinals 70-50 on Tuesday night in Columbus for their 32nd straight home win.
Also as expected, Jared Sullinger returned from injury to help lead the Buckeyes to victory.
Sullinger started and led all scorers with 18 points on 8-11 shooting and also led everyone with 11 rebound and 2 blocks. He did not commit a turnover either in 30 minutes on the court. Sullinger's return came after he played just six minutes before sitting out with an ankle injury in the team's previous game against the South Carolina Gamecocks. Prior to that, Sullinger had missed two games with back spasms.
Deshaun Thomas made 3-4 three pointers and added 16 points and 5 rebounds for the Buckeyes, who have won three straight and are now 10-1 overall.
The Buckeyes only trailed for 20 second the entire game, when they were down 6-4 in the opening minutes.
Ohio St. takes on the 3-5 Miami (OH) RedHawks on Thursday before opening conference play at home against the 10-1 Northwestern Wildcats on Dec. 28.
