After a 9-4 season in which they won the MAC East Division, the Ohio Bobcats will play in the postseason for the third straight year. Ohio is headed out west to Boise on December 17 where they will play the Utah State Aggies at 5:30 p.m. The bobcats are 0-5 all-time in bowl games, and last season they lost the New Orleans Bowl to Troy 48-21:
"The Ohio University football program is extremely excited for this wonderful opportunity in Boise," said head coach Frank Solich. "For the past two years, this has one of the premier bowl games for the Mid-American Conference. I couldn't be happier for our team and our 17 seniors, who have given so much to this program."
Ohio is coming in after losing the MAC championship game 23-20 on Friday night in Detroit. Ohio led 20-0, but was unable to hang on before losing on a late field goal.
