According to Pro Football Focus, Cleveland Browns linebacker Marcus Benard needs more snaps next season. The site made their point in their Movers and Fallers series when reviewing teams in the AFC North.

Benard really thrived in 2010, and was quietly one of the league’s most productive pass rushers. He had 34 combined pressures in just 255 snaps, a rate of 1 in 7.5 rushes — almost identical to Clay Matthews’ ratio of one per 7.53 rushes. Benard could be next year’s Cameron Wake if the Browns decide to play him full time.

Those are some pretty impressive players to compare Benard to, although I’m hesitant to actually believe Benard will turn into “the next big thing.” Other players highlighted were ILB Chris Gocong for doing very well as a run stopper and the now-released John St. Clair for being a poor right tackle.
