Horizon League Tournament: After Tying For First Place, Cleveland State Seeded Third

The Horizon League tournament gets underway on Tuesday, and Cleveland State, which tied for first place in the regular season, is seeded third. It will be hosting University of Illinois Chicago in a game that starts at 7 p.m.

The top two seeds are Milwaukee and Butler, which is extremely important because it earns them byes through the first two rounds. Which is a pretty excellent advantage for teams that were tied with Cleveland State in the regular season.

The other first round games are (6) Wright State vs. (7) Wisconsin-Green Bay, (4) Valparaiso vs. (10) Youngstown State and (5) Detroit vs. (8) Loyola. If they advance, Cleveland State will face the winner of the WSU-Green Bay game in the second round, while the winners of the other two teams will face each other.

For more information on the tournament you can head over to the Horizon League's official website which has ticket and game info for all the games that will be played. We'll be updating this stream with news about the games, particularly Cleveland State, as it unfolds.
