2011 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament Bracket Revealed

The UConn Huskies are the #1-overall seed in the 2011 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament announced tonight.  UConn will be looking for their third straight National Championship.  The other top seeds announced - Tennessee, Baylor and Stanford.  If both teams advance to the Final Four, UConn would meet Tennessee in the Semi-finals.  UConn head coach Geno Auriemma is looking to match Vols coach Pat Summitt with 8 national championships.

The Ohio State Buckeyes women are the #4 Seed in the Dayton Regional - the same region Tennessee resides within.  The Buckeyes will face No. 13 Central Florida in the 1st Round.  The Buckeyes have had a roller-coaster season, winning their first seven games before dropping seven of the next nine. They righted themselves and have won their last nine games capped by a Big Ten tournament title.

Also in the Dayton Regional are MAC Champions Bowling Green.  The Falcons enter the tournament as the No. 12 seed and will face No. 5 seed Georgia.

Unlike the men's bracket that expanded to 68 teams this year, the women decided to stick with 64. Indianapolis will host the Final Four on April 3 and 5.

The last time the Final Four was in Indianapolis, Baylor won the championship as a No. 2 seed.
