As we approach the coming NCAA tournament, March Madness has already begun. On Sunday, a matchup of two top ten teams will take place as the top ranked Ohio State Buckeyes will play host to the 10th ranked Wisconsin Badgers.
The Buckeyes have lost two of their previous six contests, but those are the only blemishes on an otherwise perfect season, one that includes a 15-2 conference record and a perfect 19-0 at home. Ohio State also clinched the regular season Big Ten title last night as the Iowa Hawkeyes upset the Purdue Boilermakers 67-65 on Saturday night in Iowa City.
Ohio State's 28 victories are the most in a regular season in school history, and Thad Matta's crew will have to bring their best on Sunday to beat the Badgers, who are one of the two teams to have beaten the Buckeyes this season.
Wisconsin has been one of the most dominant defensive teams in the country, allowing more than 70 points only one time this season against Purdue. If the Badgers are going to upset Ohio State on the road, they are going to need a better performance from their offense, which is also averaging less than 70 points per contest.
This game promises to be a tough battle between two Big Ten teams that pride themselves on tough defense, and two teams that are ready for post-season play.
