Cry Us A River -- Heat Lose Fifth Straight, Equal Cavs' Losses From 2009-10

Miami, which needed Kleenex in their locker room the other day when they lost by one point to the Chicago Bulls, must feel a little better tonight.

↵

For, you see, they did not lose a heartbreaker.

↵

However, Miami did lose to Portland, 105-96, the Heat’s fifth straight setback.

↵

And the significance of the loss? Miami, to which LeBron James fled to surround himself with players capable of winning him a championship, has now lost 21 games…the same amount that last year’s Cavs lost, and five more than Cleveland lost two seasons ago. With eighteen more games still to play in the regular season.

↵

Sorry to keep belaboring this point. Perhaps you are tired of me gloating from afar at another team’s misfortunes.

↵

But there is something so delicious in the Epic Fail going on right now in South Beach, that I felt the need to write — and gloat — yet again.

↵

It somehow makes rooting for a 12-51 team a little more tolerable.
