Pluto May Not Be A Planet Anymore...But He Sure Can Write

I have a kindred spirit at the Pee-Dee. I have known this for a long time, but sometimes I see a flash of it again. Someone who leans heavily on nostalgia and gets to the heart of a sport, that heart that beats underneath the raw numbers and stats. Someone who gets to the soul of a game, and of what it means to the fans.

I like to write such nostalgia, but Terry Pluto does it so well, I feel as if I pale in comparison. But that's okay. We all have our gifts and talents, after all, and if Pluto can write a piece such as this one about Opening Day, who am I to do anything but simply enjoy it?

I hope that you will enjoy it as well.
