Rehabbing Grady Sizemore Plays Full Nine-Inning Game For Akron Aeros

Grady Sizemore, rehabbing in the minor leagues, played a full nine-innings in the Akron Aeros' loss to the Binghamton Mets in Akron last night.

Sizemore went two-for-four in five plate appearances and is hitting .429 in his stint at Double-A.

Sizemore is not the only Indian who will be coming back to the big club soon. Right-hander Joe Smith is also rehabbing with Akron and has tossed two scoreless innings, and Jason Donald will be making a start at third base for the Aeros today.

↵

What does this mean for the current roster? When Donald, Smith and Sizemore are ready, there will have to be demotions from the current 25-man squad. And how does Manny Acta see the soon-to-be dilemma?

"We love it," said Acta, when asked about making the upcoming decisions. "It's part of the game. We'll cross that bridge when we get there. Everyday something new happens in the game."

Of course, any change with a team on a roll is going to make a difference, but injuries happen all the time, and so whoever is sent down, there shouldn't be a loss in the chemistry that has contributed to the hot start to the 2011 season.
