Carlos Carrasco Headed To The Disabled List; No Word Yet On Who Fills The Void

According to Dennis Manoloff on Cleveland.com, Carlos Carrasco -- who left his last start with tightness in his elbow -- is headed for the disabled list.

Manny Acta is saying that the Tribe's brass will get together after the Wednesday game and announce then who will replace Carrasco.

The skipper had this to say about Carrasco's attempt to throw on Wednesday:

"Carlos is doing better, and he was able to play catch with more intensity than (Tuesday),'' Acta said. "But he wasn't good enough to throw his bullpen, so he's not going to start Saturday and we'll have to put him on the DL and bring up a starter for Saturday.''

The most likely candidate to replace Carrasco for Saturday's start against Detroit would probably be 2009 top draft pick Alex White, David Huff's name is also in the conversation, but Huff pitched seven innings last night for Columbus.
