One of the stars of baseball when I was a kid has passed away. I remember sitting in the old stadium and watching Harmon Killebrew when he came to town with the Minnesota Twins, and man, could he hit.
↵Killebrew has passed away after a battle with esophageal cancer. And while he will be remembered for his 573 home runs, he will be remembered more for his simple goodness and decency...for his class.
↵Rest in peace, Harmon. And though you were always in the "bad guys' dugout", you were never one of the bad guys.
