Free Agent Defensive Lineman The Browns Should Target

With free agency just around the corner, hopefully, the Browns have a little over $33 million to spend. One of the biggest areas of need is improving the defensive line. No matter how good your secondary is, it doesn’t matter if you can’t rush the passer. Here is a brief list of some available defensive lineman the Browns should pursue.

↵

Cullen Jenkins- The Packer’s defensive lineman will be a popular target in free agency. Jenkins is a terrific pass rusher who can penetrate both guards and tackles.

↵

Mathias Kiwanuka- Explosive pass rusher who sometimes gets overshadowed by other members of the Giants defensive. Was having a great 2010 season until a herniated disc knocked him out.

↵

Charles Johnson- The Panthers will probably try really hard to re-sign him but if he does hit the market would look great in brown and orange. Had more sacks in 2010 than Julius Peppers who he replaced on the line.

↵

Ray Edwards- With the Vikings having cap issues they might have trouble re-signing Edwards. Had a slow start to his career but has the potential to be very solid.
