It Could Have Been Worse

The Indians led the AL Central by one game when they headed out on a nine-game road trip through three National League cities, and they will come home having lost only a half-game off that lead, and still in first place, when they take on the Yankees at Progressive Field on Monday.

↵

After being swept in San Francisco, the Tribe took two-of-three in both Arizona and Cincinnati, to end up 4-5 on the trip.

↵

A success? Not exactly, but it could have been much worse,

↵

And admit it, most of us (and I most definitely include myself in this) had a vision of the Tribe sitting about three games back after this trip, especially after the way it started.

↵

So…the gauntlet is over, and although a bit shaky at times, the Indians have survived it.

↵

Now it's back to American League baseball for The Good Guys — at least until the World Series.
