Expect To See Starters A Little Bit Longer Against Detroit On Friday Night

The Browns take on the Detroit Lions on Friday night at 7:30 at Cleveland Browns Stadium in the last home game of the exhibition season, and we will probably get a little longer look at the starters than we did in last week's game vs. the Green Bay Packers.

The Lions put a hurtin' on the Cincinnati Bengals last week, coming away with a 34-3 win in Detroit, and after winning their last four games in 2010 to finish 6-10, it is safe to say that the Lions are on the upswing. But then, the Browns finished 2009 strong and then were in the hunt for a while last year until...well, you know how the season ended with four straight losses.

Of course in the preseason the key is to get a good look at players on the bubble and to try not to get anyone hurt, so if there are any bumps and bruises, don't expect too much game time from those players. Players such as Peyton Hillis, who was pulled from practice the other day, for example.

And it is probable that defenders Scott Fujita, Chris Gocong and Usama Young will not play, with T.J. Ward questionable.
