Excuse Me While I Scratch My Head

So David Huff is sent down to make room for Ubaldo Jimenez.

Huh?

↵

Huff, who gutted through 102 pitches last night, gave up one (unearned) run and kept the Indians in the game at Fenway Park, and who sported a 0.51 ERA in three starts for the Tribe — gone?

↵

Okay, there is talk he will be back. But why send him down at all? The brain-trust will say that there is no need for six starters, and granted that is probably true.

↵

But wasn’t there a better option than sending down someone who gave up one run in almost 18 innings?
