The Tribe has placed right-hander Carlos Carrasco on the 15-day disabled list with what is being called inflammation in his right elbow, meaning that he will not make his scheduled start on Saturday against Minnesota at Progressive Field.
↵Although no official word has as yet been forthcoming, I would guess that David Huff will get called right back up from Columbus to take Carrasco’s place.
↵Huff put together an 0.51 ERA in three starts with The Good Guys, so things could be worse.
↵What this will do as far as the timing of Carrasco serving his six-game suspension remains to be seen, since time on the DL would not count toward that six-game period.
↵Carrasco went seven innings against the Red Sox last Wednesday, and felt discomfort afterwards in the elbow.
