Carlos Carrasco To The 15-Day DL; David Huff To Get Recalled?

The Tribe has placed right-hander Carlos Carrasco on the 15-day disabled list with what is being called inflammation in his right elbow, meaning that he will not make his scheduled start on Saturday against Minnesota at Progressive Field.

Although no official word has as yet been forthcoming, I would guess that David Huff will get called right back up from Columbus to take Carrasco’s place.

↵

Huff put together an 0.51 ERA in three starts with The Good Guys, so things could be worse.

↵

What this will do as far as the timing of Carrasco serving his six-game suspension remains to be seen, since time on the DL would not count toward that six-game period.

↵

Carrasco went seven innings against the Red Sox last Wednesday, and felt discomfort afterwards in the elbow.
