Ohio State Buckeyes Suspend Three Football Players

Ohio State has suspended running back Jordan Hall and defensive backs Corey Brown and Travis Howard for receiving improper benefits of $300 or less at a charity event earlier this offseason.

“We take this matter seriously,” athletic director Gene Smith said in a statement. “Our commitment to institutional integrity is steadfast, and we must hold everyone associated with our athletics programs accountable for lapses in judgment. We believe in transparency with the NCAA, all regulatory bodies and all of Buckeye Nation.”

Both Hall and Howard are currently starters for the Buckeyes, and the running back situation is slowly turning into a disaster with the top two in the rotation sitting out because of poor judgment.

An already depleted defensive backfield suffers another minor hit, but Ohio State is likely still talented enough to make it through the early portion of their schedule with hopes of a Big Ten title still in-tact.
