The Xavier Musketeers are off to a strong start as they look for a third straight win, currently leading the St. Bonaventure Bonnies 34-21 at halftime at Cintas Center in Cincinnati.
Mark Lyons has made 2-3 three-pointers and leads the Musketeers with 11 points. Defense has been the main story for Xavier however, as they have held the Bonnies to 26.9 % shooting in the first half. Xavier is shooting 50.0 % from the field, but they have been a bit sloppy with the ball, turning the ball over 10 times.
Xavier started the game on a 6-0 run and they have led the entire way.
The Musketeers (11-5) and the Bonnies (9-6) entered the game tied in the Atlantic-10 with maching 2-1 conference records. They are both a half-game behind the league-leading LaSalle Explorers.
