The Cleveland State Vikings have an incredibly important game this weekend against the Horizon Conference leading Milwaukee Panthers, but they won't play that game until Sunday. Until then, the Vikings are going to have to be content trying to get their sixth conference win against the Green Bay Phoenix on Friday evening.
Green Bay have had a tough year so at 7-10 (3-4) and have been particularly putrid on the road, a bad sign heading into Wolstein Center in Cleveland. The Phoenix have lost every single game away from home, though they did come very close to upsetting Milwaukee earlier in the month before losing 64-63.
Cleveland State are currently 5-2 and though they have the best overall record in the Horizon conference are still down a game to Milwaukee. They can't afford to look ahead of the Phoenix to Sunday's game against the Panthers, but with Green Bay being so awful on the road it shouldn't be incredibly hard for the Vikings to get a lead and finish them off as fast as possible to get to the big one.
