A share of the top spot in the Horizon League is on the line Sunday afternoon when the Cleveland State Vikings (16-4, 6-2) host the UW-Milwaukee Panthers (13-7, 6-2) at the Wolstein Center.
The winner of this matchup between two of the best teams in the conference will keep pace with Valparaiso in the race for the regular season Horizon League title. The Vikings lost to Valparaiso last Sunday but bounced back to beat UW-Green Bay on Friday thanks to 19 points from Trevon Harmon.
Harmon leads Cleveland State with 11.9 points per game but the Vikings will need D'Aundray Brown to resume his early season form to help keep the Vikings pursuing a league title. Brown has not scored in double figures in the past four games. Forward Tim Kamczyc has stepped up to fill that scoring void for Brown, but Cleveland State will be tough to beat if they are firing on all cylinders.
Milwaukee arrives in Cleveland after a tough loss at Youngstown State on Friday. The Panthers rely on a balanced offensive attack led by Kaylon Williams with 11.7 points per game.
The game is scheduled to tip at 2:00 p.m. ET and will be streamed on CSUVikings.com.
