The Kent State Golden Flashes (13-6, 3-3) travel a little over 100 miles to Toledo to take on the Rockets (10-10, 2-4) at Savage Hall in an inter-divisional Mid-American Conference rivalry.

This is the first of two straight on the road for Kent State, as they will continue northwest into Michigan after this one to take on the Central Michigan Chippewas to close out the month of January. The Golden Flashes are coming off a 34-point win over Northern-Illinois, which followed up a pair of losses.

Toledo also won their last game, albeit not as convincingly, edging out another in-state rivalry Miami (Ohio), 63-61.

Kent State desperately needs to continue winning if they hope to defend their regular season Mid-American Conference title. They currently sit two games behind the 5-1 Akron Zips.

This will be the only meeting between these two teams this season. Tip off is 7 p.m. eastern time.
