Cincinnati Vs. Georgetown Final Score: Bearcats Beat Hoyas 68-64

In a can't-miss Big East showdown, the No. 11 Georgetown Hoyas could hardly miss at all on Monday night against the Cincinnati Bearcats. And still, the Bearcats pulled out a 68-64 win over the Hoyas at Verizon Center.

Sean Kilpatrick was the star of the night for Cincinnati, pouring in a season-high 27 points on 10-16 shooting from the field including 3-5 on three-pointers. Kilpatrick, who came into the game averaging a team-high 15.7 points, also finished the game with 3 steals, delivering an ace game all-around. Dion Dixon was the co-star, adding 22 points and 3 steals for the Bearcats, and he sank four free throws in the final eight seconds to finish the game

Yet while Kilpatrick and Dixon were on point shooting the ball, the entire Georgetown starting lineup was as well. The Bearcats shot 59.1 % from the field, and their starters shot 65.7 %, led by Hollis Thompson (5-6, 14 points) and Jason Clark (6-7, 14 points). But Cincinnati forced 17 turnovers and only turned the ball over eight times themselves.

Cincinnati improves to 13-4 overall and 3-1 in the Big East, while Georgetown falls to 13-3 overall and 3-2 in the Big East.

The Bearcats now have a few days off before hosting the 8-8 Villanova Wildcats on Saturday in a game scheduled to start at 12:00 p.m. eastern.
