The Ohio State Buckeyes' men's hockey team split two matchups against the No. 13 Minnesota-Duluth Bulldogs over the weekend.
Ohio State was destroyed in the first of the two games on Friday, losing 6-2. Minnesota-Duluth exploded for four goals in the first period and never looked back. Minnesota-Duluth's Mike Seidel scored two goals to lead the way for the Bulldogs.
Ohio State returned the favor on Saturday night, pulling out a hard-fought 3-2 victory. After going up 2-0 after the first period, the Buckeyes squandered the lead in the second and headed into the final period tied 2-2. The Buckeyes' Max McCormick netted a goal 6:56 into the third, and Ohio State held on for the upset victory.
Elsewhere, Bowling Green lost two games over the weekend to Union. The Falcons fell 5-3 on Friday and 4-1 on Saturday. Miami (OH) won their two games, defeating Colgate 3-0 and 5-1.
